Hunterdon County honors six vocational students awarded NJAC scholarships
FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners recognized six students from the Hunterdon County Vocational School District this week for earning 2025 New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) Foundation scholarships.
At its June 17 meeting, the board presented each student with a proclamation celebrating their academic success and dedication to their future careers. Family members, school representatives, and NJAC Executive Director John Donnadio attended the ceremony to offer congratulations.
“On behalf of the entire Commissioner Board, I would like to congratulate all the NJAC scholarship awardees here this evening,” said Commissioner Director John E. Lanza. “These students represent the spirit of hard work and reflect the extraordinary potential of vocational-technical education in Hunterdon County.”
The NJAC Foundation scholarship program supports vocational-technical school students planning to attend college in New Jersey, with awards based on academic achievement, career focus, and community involvement.
The scholarship recipients are:
- Alyson Alport, $1,000 from Amazon
- Jacob Gates, $1,000 from AT&T
- Samuel Cavitch, $500 from Investors Bank, Division of Citizens Bank N.A.
- Brandon Holck, $500 from Investors Bank, Division of Citizens Bank N.A.
- Jaden Vega, $250 from SHI International Corporation
- Anthony Eames-Egidi, $1,650 from South Jersey Industries
“It is always a good day when we get to lift up the next generation,” Lanza said. “Hunterdon County is proud to support our vocational students. Their success is our success.”
