Hunterdon County honors transit driver Amanda Meyerhofer for top state Roadeo finish

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners honored Amanda Meyerhofer at its July 15 meeting for her outstanding service as a driver for Easton Coach Company, which operates the LINK Transportation System for county residents. The recognition also celebrated her first-place finish at the 36th Annual New Jersey Community Transportation Roadeo.

On April 13, Meyerhofer earned First Place in the statewide competition and received a perfect score on the Pre-Trip Inspection, highlighting her strong attention to detail and commitment to public safety.

“Congratulations to Ms. Meyerhofer, who exemplifies the very best of public service,” said Commissioner Director John E. Lanza. “Her achievement at the Roadeo is not just a personal milestone, it reflects the values of the entire LINK system — professionalism, safety, and service.”

Meyerhofer joined the LINK Transportation System on December 20, 2021, and has since gained the respect of passengers and colleagues for her professionalism, dependability, and dedication to safety. She currently operates Route 15, serving communities across Hunterdon County.

The New Jersey Community Transportation Roadeo brings together transit professionals from across the state to demonstrate their skills, promote safety awareness, and encourage professional development in a supportive and competitive environment.

Following her win, Meyerhofer was selected to represent New Jersey at the National Community Transportation Roadeo in San Diego, California, held on June 1, 2025—an honor that recognizes her excellence and dedication in public transit service.
