FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office has welcomed two new assistant prosecutors to its staff.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson and First Assistant Prosecutor Joseph Paravecchia welcomed Sophia Gengaro and Alison Opdyke to the office as assistant prosecutors.
Superior Court Judge Christopher J. Garrenger administered the oath of office to Gengaro and Opdyke in front of their family members and Prosecutor’s Office staff.
Gengaro recently completed a judicial clerkship with Superior Court Judge Scott T. Rumana in the Criminal Part of the Passaic Vicinage.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. While attending law school, Gengaro interned with the Union County Superior Court and Griffin Alexander, P.C.
Gengaro is licensed to practice law before the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Opdyke earned her bachelor’s degree from New York University and her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.
She recently completed a judicial clerkship with Garrenger in the Criminal Part of the Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Vicinage.
Opdyke previously worked as a certified legal extern with the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, where she presented cases to a grand jury and drafted legal memoranda, among other assignments.
Opdyke is also licensed to practice law before the New Jersey Supreme Court.
