KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County will hold its third annual Veterans Resource Fair on Thursday, Oct. 8, connecting local veterans and their families with services, programs and other resources.
The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Razberry’s Banquet Hall, 834 Route 12 in Kingwood Township.
Local businesses, service providers, nonprofit organizations, wellness professionals and representatives connected with veterans services will be available to provide information and assistance.
“Our veterans have given so much in service to our country, and it is important that we continue to make it as easy as possible for them and their families to connect with the programs, benefits, and resources available to them,” said Hunterdon County Commissioner Susan J. Soloway, co-liaison to the county’s Division of Veterans Affairs. “I encourage veterans from throughout Hunterdon County to join us on October 8th, meet with the organizations participating in this year’s fair, and learn more about the services that are available to support them.”
The Veterans Resource Fair is sponsored by the Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners, U.S. Rep. Tom Kean Jr. and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. The county, Kean and the chamber also partnered on last year’s Veterans Resource Fair.
Light refreshments will be served.
“This event has continued to grow into an important opportunity to bring many different organizations together in one convenient location for our veterans,” Soloway added. “Whether someone has questions about benefits, health and wellness resources, community programs, or other services, we want our veterans to know that Hunterdon County is here to help connect them with the assistance they have earned.”
