Hunterdon Health earns Great Place to Work certification for sixth straight year

Hunterdon Health has earned Great Place to Work certification for the sixth consecutive year, with 84% of employees surveyed saying the health care organization is a great place to work.

The 2026 certification is based on feedback from current Hunterdon Health employees about their workplace experiences and organizational culture.

Hunterdon Health employs more than 2,600 people at locations across Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren, Mercer and Morris counties.

According to survey results released by Hunterdon Health, 92% of employees said they feel good about how they contribute to the community, while 93% said they felt welcomed when they joined the organization. Eighty-nine percent said they felt a sense of pride in what they accomplish, and the same percentage said people care about one another.

Great Place to Work evaluates workplace culture and employee experiences using feedback from employees. The organization says its certification is based on employees’ assessment of their workplace.

“Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience,” says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Hunterdon Health stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees.”

Great Place to Work says its research has found job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find what they consider a great boss at a certified workplace. The organization also says employees at certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work and twice as likely to report being paid fairly, receiving a fair share of company profits and having a fair opportunity for promotion.
