Closures necessary for milling and paving

GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) — Lane closures are scheduled on I-78 eastbound Monday night for pavement repairs in Greenwich Township

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, one lane on I-78 eastbound will be closed for approximately one mile after the on-ramp from Route 173 in Greenwich Township. A second lane is scheduled to close at 9:00 p.m. The closures are necessary for milling and paving to repair a depression in the roadway.

Work is expected to begin in the left lane and progress to the right, repaving all three lanes. At least one lane will remain open during construction. Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down when traveling through the work zone.

Variable Message Signs will provide advance notice of traffic pattern changes associated with the work. The timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Drivers are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website at www.511nj.org for construction updates and real-time travel information.
