JCP&L utility truck overturns after striking wires in Sussex County; no injuries

FREDON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — A Jersey Central Power & Light utility truck overturned Friday night after striking low-hanging wires in Sussex County, authorities said.

New Jersey State Police troopers responded to the motor vehicle crash at 8:13 p.m. on Anderson Hill Road in Fredon Township, according to State Police spokesman Sgt. First Class Charles Marchan.

A preliminary investigation determined the JCP&L utility truck was traveling on Anderson Hill Road when it struck low-hanging wires, causing the vehicle to overturn. No injuries were reported at the scene.

Chris Hoenig, a spokesman for Jersey Central Power & Light, confirmed the truck involved belonged to the company.

No additional information was immediately available, and the incident remains under investigation.
