
Washington BID to host Sustainably Green Music & Arts Festival on June 14
WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — The Washington Business Improvement District will host the annual Sustainably Green Music & Arts Festival on Saturday, June 14, offering a full day of live entertainment, eco-conscious vendors, and green-themed activities in downtown Washington.
Running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the festival highlights sustainable living with activities focused on the environment, recycling, and community involvement. The event also marks the official kickoff of the Washington Farmers’ Market, which continues every Saturday through Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The 2025 music lineup includes:
- 10:00 a.m. – Ted Lagonera
- 11:00 a.m. – Moss Henry & The Bryophytes
- 1:30 p.m. – Dave “Doc” Watson Trio
- 3:30 p.m. – Los Swamp Monsters
Festivalgoers can enjoy eco-friendly shopping, handmade crafts, kids’ activities, and food from local vendors. Green initiatives will include electronic recycling (sponsored by Abilities of Northwest New Jersey), paper shredding (hosted by The Arc of Warren for a small donation), and a clothing donation drop-off benefiting the Karen Nash Memorial Butterfly Garden.
Other recycling and sustainability efforts include eyeglass donations accepted by the Belvidere Lions Club and Project Medicine Drop, an initiative led by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office to collect unused medications.
Children can visit the Kids Courtyard near Gaia’s Gifts for educational booths, free crafts from noon to 4 p.m., a nature-themed treasure hunt, giveaways of vegetable plants and pollinator posters, and activities hosted by Dove Environmental Education, Warren County Parks, and more.
Rossi Auto Group will host an Electric Vehicle (EV) display, giving attendees a hands-on look at EV technology and providing information about sustainable transportation. The municipal lot also features a dual-port ChargePoint EV charger for public use.
Vendor spaces for the festival are still available for $35. Each space is 10-by-10 feet, and the event will be held rain or shine. Applications are available online, with payments accepted via PayPal or by mail to the Washington BID office.
