Kean constituent services returns more than $2M to NJ-07 residents

NEW JERSEY – Representative Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) Monday announced that his casework team has returned more than $2,000,000 to constituents since taking office in January 2023.

This total represents 8 months of work on behalf of constituents who have contacted the office for prompt customer service when federal agencies were slow to deliver.

“This is what is most important to me about public service; helping the people you represent,” Kean said. “It’s not just about numbers; it’s about the real people we’re assisting, the families who can breathe a little easier, the dreams we’re helping to build, and the brighter future we’re striving to create together. I am thankful for the hard work of our constituent services team who proudly put their all into helping every resident in need.”

Since the office opened in January of 2023, Kean and his team have closed 1,247 constituent cases, representing over $2,000,000 returned to New Jerseyans in District 7.

From the beginning of Congressman Kean‘s term in office, Team Kean has closed close to 139 cases per month, helping constituents save money from the IRS, Social Security Administration, and other federal agencies. The top three groups of people served are seniors, veterans, and families.

“My federal taxes were being held up by the IRS and I could not get in touch with anyone to help. Luckily, I reached out to Mr. Kean’s office and the staff was courteous and helpful. My problem was resolved in 3 months instead of the 436 days the IRS told me. Thank you!,” a constituent in Mount Olive said after Kean helped to resolve a complex IRS issue that had a significant impact on their family.
