Kean says he has secured more than $100 million for New Jersey’s 7th District since taking office
NEW JERSEY — U.S. Rep. Tom Kean Jr. announced Monday that he has secured more than $100 million for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District since taking office in 2023 through federal project funding and constituent services.
According to Kean’s office, the total includes nearly $39 million obtained through the federal Community Project Funding process and nearly $66 million recovered for constituents through casework with federal agencies. His office also said it has successfully closed more than 5,400 constituent cases.
“Delivering for the families and communities I represent is my top priority,” Kean said. “Whether through Community Project Funding or constituent casework, I am committed to fighting for every available federal dollar and bringing New Jersey taxpayers’ money back home where it belongs.”
Community Project Funding allows members of Congress to request federal funding for eligible projects sponsored by state, local, tribal and territorial governments, as well as certain nonprofit organizations. Projects must meet federal eligibility, ethics and transparency requirements and demonstrate strong community support.
Kean’s office said more than $15 million of the nearly $39 million in Community Project Funding awarded to the district has been directed toward law enforcement initiatives across its six counties. Among the projects are $4 million for the Camp Cromwell Facility Rehabilitation in Bridgewater Township and $2.4 million for the Phillipsburg Riverfront Park Revitalization.
In addition to securing project funding, Kean’s office said it regularly assists residents with issues involving federal agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veterans Affairs and Social Security Administration.
The announcement included testimonials from constituents who received assistance from the congressman’s office.

Kean’s office said constituents needing assistance with a federal agency can contact his district office in Lebanon Borough or attend one of the regional satellite office hours held during the first week of each month across the district.
