Know before you go: Hackettstown Street Fair, World Cup Final celebration set for Sunday

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Hackettstown Business Improvement District will host its annual Hackettstown Street Fair and FIFA World Cup Final celebration Sunday, featuring 180 vendors, live entertainment, family activities and three large-screen watch parties in downtown Hackettstown.

The event, sponsored by the Hackettstown Business Improvement District, will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. along Main Street. World Cup Final pregame coverage begins at 2:30 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m.

Street fair attractions include two children’s activity zones, food vendors and trucks, live music, an interactive soccer experience hosted by the Hackettstown Soccer Club, a community art project, dance performances, a roaming Polaroid photo booth, a soccer stilt walker and the ROFF Zone beer and spirits garden.

Fans can watch the World Cup Final on three giant LED screens located in the Berk’s Furniture & Mattress Outlet parking lot, the International Auto Repair parking lot at Main Street and Grand Avenue/High Street, and the Czig Meister Brewing parking lot. Accessible seating will be available at each viewing area.

Municipal parking lots will be free for the event, with additional parking available at several churches and community organizations. Some additional parking locations may charge a fee.

Several downtown streets will be closed to traffic, including portions of Main Street (Route 46), West Moore Street, East Moore Street, Valentine Street, High Street (Route 517), Grand Avenue and West Plane Street. Police officers will staff road closures and patrol throughout the event to assist motorists, direct traffic and help maintain public safety.

Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced, and vehicles parked in posted no-parking areas will be ticketed and towed.

Event organizers will provide QR codes throughout the fairgrounds linking visitors to an event map, restroom locations and other event information.

A cooling station with a high-powered misting fan will be available near Man Skirt Brewing at 144 Main St., while a hydration station offering free bottled water, while supplies last, will be located near the Hackettstown Business Improvement District office at 219 Main St.

The event will be held rain or shine. Organizers recommend leaving pets at home because of the expected crowds. Portable chairs are permitted but must remain with attendees at all times. Coolers, tables and tents are prohibited, and outside beverages are not permitted inside the beer and spirits garden. Bag and security checks will be conducted at entrances to the beer and spirits garden.
