Lane closures on Route 57 in Warren County begin Aug. 11
WARREN COUNTY, N.J. — Route 57 westbound will have alternating lane closures next week as a pavement preservation project begins in Mansfield and Hackettstown, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Starting at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, traffic near Heiser Road (milepost 16.8) in Mansfield will be reduced to one lane with alternating flow to allow crews to mill and pave the westbound shoulder, reset drainage inlets and make curb repairs.
Additional overnight lane closures with alternating traffic will occur through Friday, Aug. 15, between Port Murray Road/County Route 629 in Mansfield and Route 182 in Hackettstown for pavement repairs in various locations. Work will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.
The $4.4 million federally funded project will resurface about seven miles of Route 57 in both directions. Completion is expected in winter 2026. Portable message signs will alert drivers of traffic pattern changes, and the DOT advises motorists to slow down, use caution and expect delays in the work zone.
