Lane restrictions planned May 11, 12 and 14 on Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge

FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Motorists traveling across the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge should expect alternating traffic patterns and possible delays next week because of scheduled inspections and maintenance work.

According to officials, traffic flagging operations are scheduled Monday, May 11; Tuesday, May 12; and Thursday, May 14.

Drivers will be restricted to a single lane with alternating traffic directions controlled by flaggers during the work periods.

Federally required bridge inspections are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Lighting work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday.

Officials said brief traffic stoppages and delays are possible while restrictions are in place.

Motorists are being urged to slow down, use caution and follow directions from flaggers in the work zone.

The schedule may change because of weather, emergencies or other factors, officials said.
