Life jacket giveaway set for July 20 at Lee’s Marina in Mount Arlington

MOUNT ARLINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — A life jacket giveaway for children and adults will be held Saturday, July 20, at Lee’s Marina in Mount Arlington, hosted by Hope One in partnership with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol Unit and Safe Kids Northern New Jersey.

The free event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 443 Howard Boulevard, with supplies available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Organizers say the effort aims to promote water safety and prevent drowning incidents as families head out for summer boating and recreational activities. Educational materials will also be available on the importance of always wearing a personal flotation device while on the water.

The event is part of a broader public safety initiative supported by Prevention Works! and Northern NJ Safe Kids / Safe Communities. Participants are encouraged to arrive early, as quantities are limited.
