Makers Day returns to Sussex County Library System on March 21 & 22

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is once again participating in New Jersey Makers Day, a statewide initiative dedicated to celebrating creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning.

This fun and educational event will take place on Friday, March 21, and Saturday, March 22, at all SCLS branches.

NJ Makers Day provides community members of all ages with the opportunity to explore STEM-based learning and maker culture through a variety of interactive activities, including:

  • Interactive Demonstrations
  • Robotics Showcases
  • STEM Projects
  • Take & Make Craft Stations
  • Sewing & Jewelry Making
  • Rock Painting
  • Decorating & DIY Projects
  • Cupcake & Cookie Decorating
  • And much more!

Whether you’re a seasoned maker or a curious beginner, Makers Day at SCLS promises to be a memorable experience.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
