Man, 80, accused of breaking into cars in Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is accused of breaking into cars in Mount Olive Township.

On February 14, at 5:29 p.m., officers responded to the rear of the Mall at Wild Geese after receiving a report of a male attempting to enter parked vehicles, police said.

When officers arrived, they observed that the male matched the description of a suspect in at least two additional incidents of burglary and theft, authorities said.

The male was identified as Ceir Coral, 80, of Budd Lake. Through the investigation, it was determined that on January 31, February 11, and February 14, Coral had entered parked vehicles and stolen property from them, police said.

A search of Coral’s person revealed he was in possession of a stolen Leatherman tool, police said.

Coral was arrested and charged with criminal attempt, burglary, theft, and possession of stolen property. He was released pending a court appearance.
