Man accused of sending explicit images to undercover Morris County agent posing as 13-year-old girl

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — A Maryland man has been charged after allegedly engaging in sexually explicit online conversations with an undercover agent posing as a 13-year-old child, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and Chief of Detectives Robert M. McNally.

Cristobal Slobodzian, 38, of Hyattsville, Maryland, was identified as the individual behind the communications following an investigation that began in July 2025. Prosecutors said Slobodzian used a teen chat application to contact someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl, who was actually an undercover member of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Investigators said he “engaged in sexually explicit conversations” with the undercover persona and sent “numerous pictures of his genitals.”

Detectives later learned Slobodzian lived in Prince George’s County, Maryland. With assistance from the Prince George’s County Police Department, Morris County ICAC officers executed a search warrant at his Hyattsville home on Nov. 12, 2025.

Slobodzian was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted sexual assault, third-degree attempted endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree attempted obscenity. He was detained in Maryland and is awaiting extradition to New Jersey.

The investigation involved coordination between the Prince George’s County Police Department Special Crimes Division, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the MCPO Digital Investigations Unit.
