6 taken to hospital after 3-vehicle crash on I-80 in Warren County, state police say

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Six people were taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Warren County Saturday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 8:53 p.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 18.6 in Allamuchy Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Toyota, Dodge and Chevrolet were traveling westbound when the Toyota lost directional control, struck the guardrail and became disabled in the right lane of travel. The Dodge attempted to change lanes and was struck by the Chevrolet, Lebron said.

Six passengers in the Dodge were transported to an area hospital for further medical evaluation. There were no other reported injuries, Lebron said.

The accident remains under investigation and no additional information was available.
