Man seriously injured in crash on Route 519 in Warren County, state police say

HOPE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — An 82-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Warren County, state police said.

Troopers responded to the crash at 4:12 p.m. on County Route 519 north near milepost 44.5 in Hope Township, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino.

A preliminary investigation found that James C. Flynn, of Blairstown Township, was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck crossed the double yellow line, left the roadway and struck a tree before overturning, police said.

Flynn sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
