Man accused of stealing cash from staff area at Morris County business

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Cumberland County man is facing a theft charge after allegedly stealing cash from a staff-only area inside a Denville Township business, according to police.

On Jan. 2, at around 11:35 a.m., police responded to a call regarding a suspicious male at Sweet Expressions By Geri, located at 26 Broadway.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store owner, who reported that the suspect, later identified as Markeese Brazelis, 26, of Vineland, had been harassing employees and acting in an unruly manner, police said.

Further investigation revealed that Brazelis had entered a staff-only area of the store and stolen $90 in cash. Authorities located Brazelis walking in the center of town, where he was arrested in connection with the theft.

Brazelis was released on a summons pending a court appearance.
