Man arrested after assault involving weapon in Morris County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Warren County man was arrested last week following an alleged assault involving a weapon in Washington Township.

On December 12, officers and detectives responded to a call about an assault involving a weapon on Drakestown Road, according to police.

Following the investigation, a 51-year-old Blairstown Township man was arrested and charged with assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, police said.

Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect, and details surrounding the circumstances of the assault have not been disclosed.

The man was released pending a court appearance, police added.
