Man arrested for defiant trespassing, multiple warrants in Sussex County

FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County man, who was accused of trespassing in Franklin Borough, was also found to have multiple outstanding warrants, police said on Monday.

On Tuesday, February 4, Steven M. McCabe, 46, of Franklin, was arrested following a trespassing report at Concetta Towers, located at 75 Carlin Road. McCabe had previously been issued a trespass notice by the Franklin Police Department on behalf of the property owners, authorities said.

Officers responded to the scene and located McCabe inside the building. During the investigation, officers discovered that McCabe had multiple outstanding warrants, including a no-bail warrant issued by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, police said.

McCabe was issued a summons for defiant trespass and was subsequently transported to the Bergen County Correctional Facility on the outstanding warrant, pending his appearance in Franklin Borough Municipal Court in accordance with the NJ Bail Reform Act, authorities said.
