
Man charged after allegedly brandishing gun during road rage incident in Jefferson
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Philadelphia man was arrested after allegedly brandishing a firearm at another driver during a road rage incident on Route 15 in the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Township, according to police.
Jefferson Township police received a report of a road rage incident on Route 15 south on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Police stopped the vehicle allegedly involved and conducted an investigation. During the investigation, officers found a loaded firearm in the passenger area of the vehicle, police said.
The driver, identified as Antony Perez, 39, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful transport of a firearm and aggravated assault with a weapon.
Perez was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility.
