CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Clinton Township police officers recently received some four-legged visitors as part of an effort to support officer wellness, according to the Clinton Township Police Department.
Therapy dogs from The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs spent time with officers, providing an opportunity for them to slow down, connect and recharge from the demands of police work, the department said.
Police said the visits give officers a chance to take a break, laugh and enjoy time with the dogs, even if only for a few minutes.
“Because behind the badge is a person. And sometimes, that person just needs a little puppy love,” the department said.
Clinton Township police thanked The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs for visiting the department and bringing its therapy dogs to spend time with officers.
