Motorcyclist charged after eluding police in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) — A motorcyclist has been charged after allegedly eluding police in Denville Township last month.

On April 24, police attempted to stop a silver motorcycle traveling on Route 46 east. However, the rider failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed, police said.

Following an investigation, the driver was identified as Chananya S. Rosenthal, 35, of Jersey City, police said.

Rosenthal turned himself in to the Denville Township Police Department on May 8 and was charged with eluding. He was also issued several motor vehicle summonses, including speeding, careless driving, reckless driving, driving without liability insurance, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Rosenthal was released pending a court appearance.
