
Man charged in bias-related incident in Washington Borough, police say
WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with a bias-related incident in Washington Borough, police said Monday.
Officers were dispatched around 10:21 a.m. March 2 to a residence on East Washington Avenue for a report of a disorderly individual. Upon arrival and investigation, police determined the man had been yelling racial slurs at multiple people in the area.
The man, whose identity was not released, was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment, bias intimidation and maintaining a nuisance, authorities said.
He was later transported to the Warren County Jail, where he is being held pending court proceedings.
