Man charged in robbery at Morris County spa

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Morris County man has been charged with first-degree robbery following an incident at a local spa, Denville Police Chief Scott Welsch announced.

Nicolas Bernardo, 26, of Rockaway Borough, was arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred on June 28 at Serenity Spa, located at 3138 Route 10 West.

Police responded to a reported disturbance at the spa around 6:49 p.m. and determined that a robbery had just taken place. An investigation quickly identified Bernardo as the suspect.

He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing. Bernardo was then lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.
