Man charged in sex assault case named Somerset County fugitive of the month

SOMERVILLE, N.J. (Somerset County) — The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office has named a Middlesex County man its Fugitive of the Month for February and is seeking the public’s help in locating him.

Prosecutors identified the fugitive as Moises Soriano-Ayala, 63, whose last known address was in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick in Middlesex County.

Soriano-Ayala is wanted for failure to appear in court on charges that include one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, three counts of second-degree sexual assault and three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to the prosecutor’s office. The charges stem from alleged incidents that occurred in August 2023 in Franklin Township, Somerset County.

Soriano-Ayala is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and approximately 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fugitive Unit at 908-231-7100 or submit an anonymous tip through the STOPit app. Tips also may be provided through the Somerset County Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-888-577-TIPS.
