Man charged with DWI after vehicle overturns in front yard in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A 27-year-old Morris County man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a vehicle overturned in the front yard of a home Friday night in Denville Township, according to police.

Denville police responded to the area of Old Boonton Road at about 10:42 p.m. Sept. 11 for a reported motor vehicle crash.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle overturned in the front yard of a home on Old Boonton Road, police said. The driver, identified as Jonathon Monaco of Denville Township, was found outside the vehicle.

During the investigation, officers observed signs indicating Monaco had allegedly been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, according to police.

Monaco was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane, careless driving and reckless driving.
