Man cited after sleeping in Washington Borough municipal building vestibule, police say

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — A 46-year-old man from the Washington area was cited Feb. 25 after police found him sleeping in the vestibule of the Washington Borough Municipal Building, according to police.

Washington Township Police said officers were dispatched to the building at about 9:36 a.m. for a report of a man sleeping inside the vestibule.

Upon arrival, officers found the individual covered with a blanket with personal belongings scattered throughout the area, police said.

The man, whose name was not released, was removed from the premises and issued a summons for maintaining a nuisance. He was released with a court date, police said.
