Man killed after being struck by NJ Transit train in Morris County

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — An adult man was killed Thursday evening after being struck by an NJ Transit train along the Morris & Essex Line, officials said.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. between the Mount Arlington and Dover stations, according to NJ Transit.

Train 858, which departed Mount Olive at 5:56 p.m. and was due to arrive in Hoboken at 7:36 p.m., struck the man, whose identity has not been released.

No injuries were reported among the one passenger and crew on board the train, officials said.

NJ Transit police are investigating the incident.
