Millbrook Avenue in Randolph to close weekdays for gas main project through July

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A portion of Millbrook Avenue in Randolph will be closed during daytime hours beginning April 6 for a gas main installation project, county officials said.

The closure will affect Millbrook Avenue between Quaker Church Road and South Morris Street. Work is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is expected to continue through early July, weather permitting.

Officials said the roadway will reopen at the end of each workday.

The project is part of a gas system upgrade and is being performed by Gray Supply under contract with New Jersey Natural Gas.

Local law enforcement will allow limited access through the work zone for residents, school buses, sanitation vehicles and other essential services.

Motorists are advised to use caution, follow posted detours and allow extra travel time. Alternate routes are recommended.
