Milling, paving scheduled on Madison Street in Hackettstown beginning Monday
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Milling and paving work on the full length of Madison Street is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 31, as work continues on the NJDOT FY2024 and FY2025 Madison Street Improvements Project, Phases I and II.
The Town of Hackettstown said its contractor, Top Line Construction Corporation, is expected to complete the paving work by Friday, Sept. 4.
Curb, curb ramp and sidewalk work has been completed. The contractor will now begin milling and paving Madison Street, starting at Warren Street and working toward Valentine Street.
Milling is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 31, through Wednesday, Sept. 2, followed by paving Thursday, Sept. 3, and Friday, Sept. 4.
Work hours are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. All dates and times are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Motorists are asked to avoid parking along the affected section of Madison Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the week of Aug. 31 through Sept. 4.
The entire length of Madison Street will be closed to through traffic during the work. Police will be on site to assist with a detour around the work area.
Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone because construction equipment and workers will be present during daytime hours.
