Milling, paving work underway on Main Road in Montville

MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Milling and paving of Main Road (County Road 202) in Montville Township began Tuesday and is expected to be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting, according to county officials.

The westbound lane is closed at the entrance ramp to Interstate 287 southbound, and motorists may encounter alternating lane closures in either direction as the work progresses. Short closures are expected, and detours will be posted.

Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

The project is part of ongoing roadway improvements aimed at extending pavement life and improving travel conditions. The work is being performed by Riverview Paving of Hackettstown.
