
Morris County man charged with drug offenses after traffic stop
DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Morris Plains man was arrested Saturday night after Denville police said they found drugs and paraphernalia during a traffic stop on West Main Street.
Police said the stop occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 when officers pulled over a vehicle displaying an expired registration. During the stop, the driver — identified as Thomas F. Gregory, 65, of Morris Plains — was allegedly found in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia.
Gregory was arrested at the scene and taken to Denville Police Headquarters for processing. He was later lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a future court appearance.
Gregory is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving or parking an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of narcotics.
