Ridge and Valley Conservancy to host Ridgetop Circle fundraiser to support conservation efforts in Northwestern New Jersey

WALPACK TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) — Ridge and Valley Conservancy invites the community to an evening of conservation and celebration at their upcoming Ridgetop Circle fundraiser, taking place on Sept. 12 at 5:00 p.m. at the picturesque Walpack Inn.

This event aims to raise funds crucial to RVC’s ongoing land preservation initiatives across Sussex and Warren counties, protecting the natural landscapes that define northwestern New Jersey.

The evening will begin with a hike led by RVC trustee and environmentalist Sharon Wander through the stunning grounds surrounding the Walpack Inn, offering a unique opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Following the hike, attendees will gather for a dinner featuring rustic country favorites and vegan options – it’s also a chance for guests to enjoy The Walpack Inn once more before they sell the restaurant after 75 years in business. Eclectic local band WILMA will perform after dinner, and a silent auction will include exclusive items and experiences from local vendors, with all proceeds benefiting RVC’s conservation efforts.

“We are thrilled to host Ridgetop Circle at the scenic Walpack Inn, bringing together supporters and nature enthusiasts to champion our mission of land preservation,” said Susi Tilley, Executive Director of Ridge and Valley Conservancy. “This event not only celebrates the natural beauty of our region but also empowers us to continue protecting and stewarding these vital landscapes.”

Early bird tickets for Ridgetop Circle are available until Aug. 12 and can be purchased at www.ridgeandvalleyconservancy.org/ridgetop-circle-2024.

Local businesses interested in supporting a greener tomorrow in Sussex and Warren counties are encouraged to explore sponsorship opportunities.
