Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joins backpack giveaway at Community College of Morris

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joined community partners Aug. 15 at the Community College of Morris for the annual Backpack Giveaway event, which provided school supplies to local children.

The event was organized by SOAR (Student Outreach and Academic Reinforcement), Spring Street CDC and Table of Hope. Ahead of the giveaway, New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association Local No. 327, which represents detectives in the Prosecutor’s Office, donated $250 to help purchase backpacks.

“The annual backpack giveaway helps prepare our young students for the school year ahead,” Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said in a statement. “I applaud our community partners who help make this event such a success every year, and the generous contribution by the PBA No. 327.”
