Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joins Table of Hope for Thanksgiving turkey giveaway
RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office helped distribute frozen turkeys and holiday food packages Friday during Table of Hope’s annual Thanksgiving drive-through event at the County College of Morris.
The Nov. 21 giveaway provided Morris County families with turkeys and all the traditional fixings just days before Thanksgiving. To support the effort, the Prosecutor’s Office purchased an entire pallet of frozen turkeys from Kings Supermarket, with assistance from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office PBA Local 327.
The event, hosted by the County College of Morris, was part of Table of Hope’s ongoing work to fight food insecurity throughout the region. The distribution was supported by several partners, including Alstede Farms, Bethel Church, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Hundreds of residents lined up in vehicles for the drive-through format, which allowed volunteers to load food directly into trunks and back seats to ensure quick, efficient service.
Table of Hope hosts food distributions year-round, but its Thanksgiving event remains one of its most significant community efforts.
