Former Goodland Country Club nudist resort in Mount Olive listed for $2.9. million

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A 35-acre property in Mount Olive that formerly operated as the Goodland Country Club nudist resort has been listed for sale for $2.9 million, according to a real estate listing.

The property at 50 Drakestown Road includes a Victorian-era mansion and dozens of existing structures spread across 35.09 acres of improved land.

Goodland Country Club, a longtime naturist resort in Morris County, permanently closed in 2024.

At the center of the property is a Victorian mansion featuring fireplaces, hardwood flooring and stonework. The main residence currently has permits for 10 furnished rooms and includes an efficiency apartment, according to the listing.

The grounds also include several multifamily residential buildings, a recreation hall and about 24 one-room cabins that could offer rental potential.

Additional structures include sheds, workshops and utility buildings. The property also contains designated trailer and RV sites with existing infrastructure, along with six established campsite pads equipped with fire pits.

Outdoor amenities include an inground swimming pool with a picnic area, hot tub, sun deck, volleyball court and shuffleboard courts.

According to the listing, development of the property is limited by Highlands environmental regulations, which restrict further subdivision or redevelopment. As a result, the property may be best suited for a buyer interested in rehabilitating or restoring the existing structures.

The listing describes the property as a rare opportunity to acquire a large tract of improved land with historic character, though it notes that rehabilitation of the buildings will likely be required.
