Morris County Prosecutor’s Office participates in annual Diversity Day celebration in Morristown
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joined community organizations, residents and local leaders June 7 for the annual Diversity Day Celebration on the Morristown Green.
The event, hosted by the Morris County Human Relations Commission, a member of the Diversity Coalition of Morris County, was supported by religious, cultural and educational organizations from across the county.
The afternoon featured an interfaith service, performances by the Mayo Performing Arts Center Choir, live music, multicultural talent presentations, food and door prizes.
Organizers said the annual event is designed to bring people together to celebrate diversity and foster greater understanding of different cultures within the community.
Representatives from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office staffed an informational table during the event, providing literature on topics including identity theft and internet safety for children, as well as souvenirs for younger attendees.
Prosecutor Robert Carroll said, “Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office welcomed the opportunity to engage the greater community, and to nurture partnerships with all our religious, cultural, and civic associates. Together, we continue striving to make Morris County a safe and welcoming place to live and work.”
