Morris County schedules mosquito control treatments in four municipalities Friday

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Division of Mosquito Control plans to conduct mosquito control treatments in four municipalities early Friday, weather permitting, because of increased adult mosquito populations.

Wooded areas will be treated by all-terrain vehicle between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, at the following locations:

  • Morris Plains: Jim Fear Drive
  • Lincoln Park: Anthony Boulevard
  • Florham Park: Brooklake Road (Fish’s Meadow)
  • Hanover: Stoney Brook Road (Stoney Brook Field) and East Hanover Avenue (Morris County Community Gardens)

The county said applicators will use either Anvil 2+2 (active ingredient sumithrin, EPA Registration No. 1021-1687-8329) or Zenivex E4 (active ingredient etofenprox, EPA Registration No. 2724-807).
