Morris County surrogate launches redesigned court website

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Morris County Surrogate Heather J. Darling has launched a redesigned website aimed at improving access to information and services for residents navigating probate and other surrogate court matters.

The new site, morrissurrogate.com, features a modernized layout intended to make it easier to find information related to probate, estate administration, guardianships, adoptions and other services handled by the surrogate’s court, according to the announcement.

Officials said the updated website includes clearer navigation and explanations of court procedures, along with quicker access to commonly requested forms and fee information. The site also includes information on upcoming events and educational programs offered through the surrogate’s court.

In addition, the website provides 24/7 access to services including the ability to make appointments and file cases electronically using eProbate, the announcement said. An AI-powered chat tool is also available to help answer questions.

The website launch reflects a focus on accessibility, transparency and public service, the court said.
