DENVILLE TONWSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Morris Plains woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to a report of an erratic driver in Denville Township earlier this month, authorities said.

Denville police said officers were dispatched at about 10:19 a.m. Jan. 4 to the area of 123 East Main Street after a witness reported a vehicle that nearly crashed multiple times while traveling on Route 53. The witness told police the vehicle later pulled into the parking lot at that location.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted an investigation, police said. An open container of alcohol was also found inside the vehicle, authorities said.

Dudak was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to observe a traffic control device, failure to maintain a lane, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to possess an insurance card. She was released pending a future court date in Denville Municipal Court.
