Mosquito spraying planned in Morristown on Aug. 22

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Crews are scheduled to conduct mosquito control spraying in Morristown this week following an increase in adult mosquito populations, officials announced.

Weather permitting, the spraying will take place Friday, Aug. 22, between 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. along Burnham Parkway at Burnham Park, officials said. The treatment will be applied using all-terrain vehicles in wooded areas and surrounding property.

According to officials, either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient Sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient Etofenprox, will be used.
