Mosquito spraying planned Monday night in Rockaway

ROCKAWAY, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Mosquito Commission plans to conduct truck-mounted mosquito control spraying in portions of Rockaway on Monday night due to an increase in the adult mosquito population, weather permitting.

The spraying is scheduled for July 20 between 9 p.m. and midnight.

Areas scheduled for treatment include Cayuga Avenue, Algonquin Avenue, Miami Trail, South Brookside Avenue, North Brookside Avenue, West Lake Shore Drive, Jackson Avenue and Apache Avenue.

The commission said crews will apply either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox.
