Mosquito spraying scheduled in 3 Morris County towns on Sept. 26

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Crews will spray for mosquitoes in parts of Morris County early Friday, Sept. 26, in response to an increase in adult mosquito populations, officials announced.

Weather permitting, treatments will take place between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. using all-terrain vehicles, according to the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control.

Spraying is scheduled for the following locations: Columbia Turnpike near VDM Metals in Florham Park, Reynolds Avenue near Bee Meadow Park in Hanover Township, and East Hanover Avenue near the Community Gardens in Morristown.

The county said it will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient Sumithrin (EPA #1021-1687-8329), or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient Etofenprox (EPA #2724-807).
