Mosquito spraying set for Monday in 3 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods and surrounding property in Morris Plains Borough, Montville Township, and Lincoln Park Borough Monday morning.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 a.m. on Monday, June 23, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Morris Plains Borough: Jim Fear Dr (Community Park Pool)
  • Montville Township: Rachel Terr (Rachel Gardens,) Beverly Dr, Nicholas St
  • Lincoln Park Borough: Gettysburg Way, Peace Valley Rd, Toms Point Way (Golf Course)

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807

The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in Montville Township, and Lincoln Park Borough Monday night.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Montville Township: Nicholas St, Weldon Pl, Willard Ln, Longview Dr, Beverly Dr, Midvale Ave, Pine Brook Rd, Clay Dr, Peace Valley Rd, Pepper Rd, Hewlett Rd, Two Bridges Rd, Sellito Way, and Adams Way.
  • Lincoln Park Borough: Gettysburg Way, Toms Point Way, Robertson Way, Pine Brook Rd, and Two Bridges Rd.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
