Mosquito spraying set for Monday in 6 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods and surrounding property in Hanover Township, East Hanover Township, Florham Park Borough, and Pequannock Township Monday morning.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 a.m. on Monday, June 16, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Hanover Township: Valley Forge Dr (Heritage Woods)
  • East Hanover Township: Brentwood Dr
  • Florham Park Borough: Columbia Turnpike (VDM Metals)
  • Pequannock Township: Marlin Ave (Lyman Park), and Hazelton Dr

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807

The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in Lincoln Park Borough, and Montville Township Monday night.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Monday, June 16, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Lincoln Park Borough: Two Bridges Road, Pine Brook Road, Gettysburg Way, Robertson Way, Toms Point, Lincoln Blvd, Mercer St, Dubrow St, Bloom St, Lake St, Alexander St, Riveredge Rd, Oak St, Sycamore Ave (Pequannock River Park), Buttonwood Dr (Pequannock River Park), Homestead Ln, Harvest Ln, Kirschner Ave, Riveredge Rd, Maple St, Poplar St, Birch St, Elm St, and Stonyridge Dr.
  • Montville Township: Hook Mountain Road, Two Bridges Road, Peace Valley Road, Pine Brook Road, Weldon Place, Nicholas St, Beverly Dr, Willard Ln, Longview, Midvale Ave, Hook Mountain Road, Rachel Terrace, Montgomery Ave, York St, Westminster Dr, Underwood Rd, Lee Ct, Valleyview Dr, Coppola Ct, Maple Ave, Marts Ln, Spruce Ln, Tamarack Ln, Roe Ri Rd, William St, William Pl, Mary Ave, Effingham Low Court, Cole Ave, Passaic Valley Rd, Bromley Rd, Bromley Ct, and Stratford Ct.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
