Mosquito spraying set for Wednesday in 2 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods and surrounding property in Kinnelon Borough, and East Hanover Township Wednesday morning.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Kinnelon Borough: Kinnelon Rd (Graduation at High School, perimeter only)
  • East Hanover Township: Eagle Rock Road (Ravello’s), Troy Road (Patriot’s Path), River Road (Camp Thunderbird), and Ridgedale Ave (Lurker Park)

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807

The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in East Hanover Township Wednesday night.

Spraying is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • East Hanover Township: Klinger Road, Balsam Ave, Callahan St, Peachtree Ave, Homestead Ave, Cottage Place, Harvest Ave, Ridgedale Ave, West, Stimis Lane, East Harvest Lane, Jaclyn Drive, Troy Place, Ridgedale Ave, Willow Place, ChicJon Lane, Dorian Terrace, Dara Dr, Edgemount Rd, Olympia Drive, Gregory Lane, Brookline Ave, Center St, Phyldan Rd, Pollis Dr, North Ridge Circle, River Road, Old Hanover Airport atRidgedale Ave, Lurker Park at Ridgedale Ave, Eagle Rock Ave, and Eagle Rock Ave at Ravello’s.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
