
Mosquito treatments planned Friday morning in 4 Morris County towns
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Mosquito control treatments are scheduled for early Friday morning in parts of four Morris County municipalities following an increase in adult mosquito populations.
The Morris County Division of Mosquito Control plans to treat wooded areas in Morris Plains, Rockaway, Montville and Lincoln Park on Friday, Aug. 21, weather permitting.
Treatments are scheduled between 4 and 6 a.m. and will be conducted using all-terrain vehicles.
The following areas are scheduled for treatment:
- Morris Plains: Jim Fear Drive
- Rockaway: West Main Street, including Donatoni Park
- Montville: Normandy Road and Sheffield Street, including Manchester Park
- Lincoln Park: Anthony Boulevard
The county said crews will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox.
